Reduction in parking bays at Royal Street Car Park

The number of car bays at Royal Street Car Park has been reduced to accommodate the relocation of City of Perth Accredited Services (formerly Moore Street Accredited Services).

A section of the car park, near the corner of Royal Street and Lord Street, has been permanently closed.

There are 634 bays available to the public in Royal Street Car Park.

Why the changes occured

The Accredited Services site was relocated as part of the State Government’s Royal Perth Hospital Emergency Department Expansion Project. During construction and ongoing operations of the hospital, Moore Street will see increased traffic and will no longer be suitable for the Accredited Services site.

Through Accredited Services, the City provides support for people experiencing homelessness by providing access to food, clothing, medical assistance and laundry services. The program is delivered by service providers and volunteers.

Alternative parking and transport options
